Betty Rockaway Betty Rockaway

The woman who brought the professional modeling business to Israel, owner of Image Models, Israel's pioneer - and leading - model agency, was born in India and immigrated to Israel as a child. Ms. Rockaway grew up and married in Israel; following her military service, she traveled to San Diego, California, where she studied makeup and fashion at F.I.T., graduating with distinction.

Upon her return to Israel, Betty Rockaway began to work as chief makeup artist on Hanoch Levin's plays at Habima, The National Theatre of Israel; in 1983, she became fashion editor of Olam Ha'Isha (Woman's World Magazine). Sponsored by the magazine, she founded Image Models agency that same year. Since its inception, Image Models has forged direct contacts with leading model agencies the world over: Elite, Woman, Next, Ford, and more. This collaboration gave birth to the "Face Of The 90s" competition and the "SuperModel" beauty pageants that discovered Shiraz Tal, Keren Michaeli, Omer Barnea, and more.

In 1993, Betty Rockaway purchased 100% of Image Models' shares, making her the agency's sole owner.

From her base location in Tel Aviv, Betty Rockaway constantly updates herself in world capitals and centers of fashion on all the current trends in design, makeup, styling, and more. Image Models has always kept one step ahead of the beat and has set its own norms and innovative trends in the Israeli beauty world.
